Alaa Arsheed is a musician, violinist, composer, and curator based in Italy. He began his musical studies at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus and continued them in Beirut. Since moving to Italy in 2015, his artistic practice brings together music, visual arts, and cultural heritage through exhibitions, performances, and interdisciplinary collaborations, exploring memory, displacement, and cultural continuity.
His work includes the album Sham, recorded at Fabrica in Italy, and artistic collaborations across music, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary projects in Europe and the Middle East. His work has been featured in Domus, La Stampa, LifeGate, and Al Jazeera, and recognized with the Premio Montale Fuori di Casa (2018). Through House of Alpha, he continues to develop artistic projects that connect memory, cultural heritage, and contemporary practice.
