Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 June 2026
This Privacy & Cookie Policy explains how the House of Alpha Foundation (“House of Alpha”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit this website, and how we use cookies and similar technologies. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch implementation act (UAVG).
1. Who we are (data controller)
The data controller responsible for your personal data is:
- [[LEGAL ENTITY NAME — e.g. Stichting House of Alpha]]
- [[REGISTERED ADDRESS, POSTAL CODE, CITY]], Netherlands
- Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: [[KvK NUMBER]]
- RSIN / VAT number: [[RSIN / VAT NUMBER]]
- Email: [[CONTACT EMAIL]]
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not legally required to do so. For any privacy question, contact us at the email above.
2. What personal data we collect
We only collect personal data that you actively provide or that is technically necessary:
- Contact form. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message.
- Server and security logs. Our hosting provider may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
We do not run advertising or behavioural-tracking analytics, and we do not sell personal data.
3. Why we process your data and the legal basis
- To answer your enquiry. We process contact-form data to respond to you. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and/or our legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To operate and secure the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing a functioning, secure site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To load optional web fonts. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). See the Cookies section below.
4. Service providers and third parties
We share data only with processors that help us run the site, under appropriate data-processing agreements:
- Formspree — processes contact-form submissions on our behalf. Formspree is operated from the United States.
- Contentful — content management system that stores the site’s editorial content.
- [[HOSTING PROVIDER]] — hosts the website and processes server logs.
- Google Fonts — serves an optional web font from Google’s servers, loaded only with your consent (see Cookies).
5. International data transfers
Some providers (such as Formspree and Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep contact-form correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and delete it when it is no longer necessary. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and diagnostics.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to processing;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [[CONTACT EMAIL]]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
8. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use the minimum technologies needed to function and to honour your choices:
- Consent preference (essential). When you accept or
reject optional fonts, we store your choice in your browser’s
localStorageunder the keyhoa-consent. This is strictly necessary to remember your decision and does not require consent. - Web fonts (optional). With your consent, we load a web font from Google Fonts. This sends your IP address to Google. If you do not consent, the site uses system fonts instead and nothing is sent to Google. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Because we set no non-essential cookies, you remain in control of the only third-party request through the consent banner.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
10. Contact
